Just be careful with these ultra wide angle lenses, as they will distort a room pretty noticeably if you get the angle wrong. Try to keep the image sensor as parallel as possible to your subject. If you have to tilt up or down to get the whole room in the viewfinder, you'll create some really noticeable distortion. Keep a close eye on vertical or horizontal lines near the edge of the frame.

This isn't a knock on the Canon 10-22, it is just a "side effect" of UWA lenses.

Ideally, a FF Canon with the 17mm TS-E would be best for indoor work, but I don't think you are willing to drop that kind of coin....
