I am reasonably confident they will never introduce a vehicle with a CVT.

German manufacturers are moving at a fairly rapid pace toward an all-electric future. In the meantime, they will make do with iterative refinements to the engines and transmissions that they are using today.

Remember that the majority of EVs do not have multi-speed transmissions. And even for those that do have more than one gear ratio, there is no compelling need for infinite variability with an electric motor. Furthermore a CVT is not a good match for an EV application due their limited ability to handle high torque input while electric motors tend to make high torque from zero RPM.
