Extended family member (in-law of an in-law) also had the minivan aversion and got the F150 super cab (or whatever is basically the front half of an Expedition) thinking it'd be great to haul his two kids in. He hates the thing and it's a giant PITA to even just get them to daycare in the morning.

Meanwhile my brother and his wife got a Nissan Quest when they had their second. That van is amazing for its purpose and anytime I'm watching their kids (and carting them and their friends to sports crap) I require that they give me the van also.

To each their own, but the "I'm not cool" thing goes away super quick when I realize I can transformer around the doors and tailgate and captains seats and rear entertainment with the push of a few buttons.
