Removal of Engine in 2011 F20 2.0L N47 Engine

I have the N47D20C (GS6-45DZ) 2.0L 85KW 115bhp engine in my 1 series. I need to replace the timing chains which unfortunately means removing the engine.
I've looked through all the instructions in the Service Workshop System and one of the final steps for removing the engine says to "release A/C compressor and place to one side." This then links to instructions for "Replacing air conditioning compressor (N47)" which I would not be able to do as I have no access or qualifications to deal with the air con.
My question is, is it just a case of undoing the two screws holding the compressor to the engine block and then the engine will come away leaving the compressor and air con system completely intact behind such that it does not need to be drawn off and recharged?
Any help much appreciated.
