The track conditions didn't really warrant a red flag situation.
There was just 1 non severe crash.
And of course VER was only able to overtake HAM because of RB's aggressive strategy.
Going in for fresh reds right away just after the crash occurred.
If HAM had done the same it would have been an even race. But he didn't
And if HAM went in and VER stayed out, VER would have been first on used whites and HAM would have been trailing on fresh reds.
So really in the end both teams made their choices, and fresh reds are faster than used whites.
And everyone knew that Masi had the policy to have cars race as much as possible. (he even said that the race before) No way was he having the race finish under SC.
