Totally bizarre! My family has had countless built to spec bm's over the years and the order has never been messed up.
When I ordered the car I sat with the sales lady and we built it on a bmw portal program, then the exact spec of the car gets printed and signed by both of us. I assume they'd send the order to the factory from within the program.
If you look at the number of variations on the one series, there has to be a pretty high tech system at the factory to make it all work, this isn't some guy planning production for the day on the back of a box of smokes with a pencil! I can't believe an option just gets "forgotten"!
