After two years of operation , the San Luis Potosí Plant has produced more than 100,000 units that have been exported to 36 countries. Additionally, it has generated approximately 32 thousand job sources in San Luis Potosí - including 3,000 direct jobs - quickly becoming one of the top 10 employer companies in San Luis Potosí.

The introduction of the BMW 2 Series Coupé in San Luis Potosí also highlights the BMW Group's commitment to sustainability as one of its fundamental strategic pillars. Cutting-edge and highly efficient technologies make the BMW Group San Luis Potosí Plant one of the most sustainable plants in the BMW Group's Global Production Network. His paint shop was the first to generate zero wastewater derived from the process. The Plant uses 100% CO 2 free electrical energy through a 71,000 m 2 solar panel system of surface, being the first time that a solar park works completely within the facilities of an automotive plant in Mexico. The rest of the electrical energy required is obtained from an external supplier that generates electricity with solar panels, the renewable origin of it is verified through declarations of conformity of origin.
