At least Kitchener is holding out at 40kph for side streets and school zones at 30... don't know why Waterloo has to be different all the time.
I actually don't mind the 40 in residential zones personally because it only slows me down for ~1 min a day. The 30 area is just painful though, especially when school isn't even in session or off season. The real problem is no one will be around to enforce the limits.
I wonder if they will start ticketing bicycles too since they'll be speeding?
