2. Depends on the bottom of the jackstand. If they are not flat, there is a chance you will indent the files. I put a spare piece of swisstrax under the jackstand to prevent this from happening. But the same goes for epoxy - the DIY kits dent easily as well.

Nope, nothing besides a good vacuum and clean. Bare concrete underneath. Considered renting a grinder but never got to it.
