The B38 engine can be chip tuned, but the gains are not nearly as large as on the four cylinder engines.
There is an M-Sport brake option which can be retrofitted. It is however a lot cheaper to add as an option on a new car. These brakes are the ones that are standard on the M135i and M140i.
If you are using the stock runflat tyres, you can gain more grip and comfort by going for a set of conventional tyres like Michelin Pilot Sport 4.
