Indeed. The same reason we don't see the S4 Avant here any more. Americans hate station wagons, by and large - even over-the-top beasts like the CTS-V wagon. The fact that Volvo is offering the Polestar and that MB still sells the E class AMG wagon here is starting to become remarkable.
If I could have gotten a 335i wagon, I wouldn't have ended up in my X1 - which I am thoroughly enjoying, however.
