The G42 now has a long rear overhang, so does the G82 which makes them appear less COUPE and more GRAND TOURER ADAPTED FROM A SEDAN. It's an odd looking blend, esp from the side and rear 3/4 angle.
Looking at the new M4 & M3 at a local showroom, the M3 looks far more racy and well proportioned.

I do get where you are coming from but I'm not sure I think these overhangs are too much and onto the 4 series and 8 series levels.
Could be shorter perhaps but looks pretty nice here.
