Carmax offered me $5999 for a POS diesel truck I was trying to get rid of. I sold it on Autotrader for $10999. Granted, this is an extreme example and it did take a few months. You aren't upside down, you'll walk away with $2K right away....personally I think you can do better but it might take weeks or months. I guess it isn't such a bad offer after all, since you are profiting.
