I do too, I'm just exaggerating it.
Realistically, we do our own thing. As long as we mention it to each other before actually buying something, cost aside, we're pretty independent.
Her money is her money, my money is my money. If I need extra for something, we discuss it, and then I make sure to "pay back" our savings afterward.
Basically, we each have our own freedom to spend what we need, but if we take extra out of our savings, we make sure to bring it back to where it was before and then don't touch it for a year. It's kind of our way of keeping ourselves in check lol.
Ultimately, I usually leave the more complex decisions to her, with my feedback. But sometimes that stresses her out, so I'll make the decision myself. Then she still gets stressed because I made the decision lmao.
we don't own a house so we don't have that responsibility yet or never (I do not have 2mil sitting around to afford in my city)
Although I do have to maintain good behavior to retain access to the family funds LOL. (so there's some partial truth to staying a good pawn in her kingdom)
