Why not keep the R8 and buy a $10-15K Jeep or Nissan Frontier and set it up for decent offroad use? I didn't say Tacoma as resale on those is dumb and the Frontier is just as capable, reliable, and cheaper. Going this route would mean you don't have to worry about getting a trailer or adding two vehicles to the fleet that requires maintenance and repairs instead of just one? If you fall in love with offroading, then sell the R8 and Jeep/whatever and then get a side by side, ideally a slightly used one for significantly less money than new.

yeah, lots to consider....these wouldn't be just a one day trip so you know this will lead into a whole other journey down the rabbit hole with toy haaler, etc...
I'm slowly walking back off the ledge, but I want one of these badly....I already have a Bronco for most of my local trails and other fun off road stuff, but it is nowhere near the same experience of a rig like the Maverick R or Pro R ...they are basically a cross between a dirt bike and a sports car.
