Yeah, I am torn....the fantasy of the side by side might not be the reality.
Not yet retired, so really don't know how many days I'd actually get per year to use it...but dammit I want one and would probably enjoy the shit out of it.

Get a Wrangler Rubicon - which can tow 5,000 lbs. Enough to pull a trailer with the SXS to many adventures, and tow a small camper for other adventures.
If you need more capability, buy a Defender - they can tow 8,000 lbs+.
These are all vehicles that can take you to adventures with the whole family, not collect dust in a garage. Sports car appreciation is a mirage. Invested money will always return a lot more.
