I am coming from a 2019 Mercedes E450. Before that a 2016 Mercedes E350. Before that a 2013 BMW 535i Xdrive and before that a 2010 BMW 535i - Xdrive - both inline six.
The lease payment on a 2026 Mercedes E450, 7.5K miles per year, 48 months, sign and drive was $1205. For a slightly better equipped 2026 BMW 540i, 7.5K miles per year, 39 months instead of 48 months, again sign and drive, $895. The MSRP on the E450 was $77,190 vs. $74,425 on the 540i. Service for the first three yeas on the 540i is included. On the E450 is an extra expense: if the service is done at the dealer that is another $2,000.
Pretty easy decision to go from the E450 to the 540i!
