I agree with the muscle balance thing. I had a PT do some testing and learned my one glute was weaker than the other and both were out of balance with the hamstrings. For 3 months I have been doing 30 minutes sometimes more a day if light to heavy cardio that includes steep hills. The range of motion on hills really helps versus flat walking. On a bike the range of motion is always good but hills are great. Mixing in good hills I hit 160+ peak heart rate. It is soft of like interval training which is supposed to be very good. One steep 1/4 mile hill that I used to walk up I can now jog up. Also lost a few lbs from the consistent exercise, which helps regulate the body better. 60, 6’2” and 195. Was over 200 for the past 20 years and peaked at 220 and realized I better do something. Stretching is really important as one ages, as is strength training. Consult a PT and develop a plan for your body.
