I've no doubt you have heard the term 'alien technology' used describing things like on weapons and the advanced latest jet fighters, so even though the Pen ta gon may or may not have exactly confirmed there are, ok lets say UAP's instead, this technology could only have come from the debris of crashed UAP's which when discovered are secured quickly by military security.
