Thanks for clearing my doubts about alternator, by the way: it does/can work when the car stands with the engine running, of course! The car once told me the opposite: "The battery is weak, set off immediately!". That made me wonder. You know their "
energy recuperation" story. On the one hand, does the brake energy recuperation only work when coasting in a gear (engine braking)? Saving only the driving wheels brakes. Why did they advertise it as a (part of the) new technology then?
On the other hand, they appear to suggest the alternator is "detachable" (despite the belt drive?) to reduce the engine burden. And it does make sense when you stop the engine (to ease the start). Just for example.
