And that switches everything back to Comfort mode, i.e. steering, throttle response, suspension stiffness and gearchange speed (if auto), right?
Still find that annoying on the part of BMW. Let the driver decide how he wants to configure his own car's driving systems!
BTW, I think the vid is more fun when you can see the arm twirling and steering wheel going round, so if you can, try that this time. Rear window mount is good, although getting the exposure setting with a snow background is going to be tricky. Otherwise an externally mounted GoPro showing your arm twirling could be fun too!

I always use DSC completely off at these ice track events. It does indeed put the engine response in comfort mode. The car I drive have no adaptive steering or suspension or gearbox, but I think it would have been possible to set some of these to sport mode if I had them. No way to get the engine set to Sport, unfortunately.
The weather forecast says snowy weather this weekend, so I doubt that I will do any recording. There are plenty of other cars running around with GoPro cameras, though. I agree that the best camera angle is one that has the steering wheel included. I don't have any suitable mounts to do so.
I am more into taking still pictures than video, usually.
