Is louder better? I thought the main purpose of the exhaust system was to reduce the noise.

I think it would have been more relevant to compare the noise under load than just revving in neutral, but I guess it would also be more difficult.

Nice video! I know they'll sound different under load but the Miltek sounded the best, more refined. M Performance was sweet but at high revs it sounded tinny.

Need to do a drive-by and full driving sound battle !

It's pretty hard in HK, we don't have many open spaces and we can get ticket for just revving the engine like that.

BCS was the best overall performer on the road when driving and also by sound.

We had a member that owns a car with the SuperSprint but he didn't show up

Great vid. Really helps us a lot to see which one sounds best for us. From this vid I would chose the milltek for sure. All is left is maybe a vid with the quad exhausts like supersprint or ac. Anyway I wanted to ask you which of the exhaust had improved (louder/deeper) the thumping noise when you change gears?

We may do a remake later with the Supersprint, but no one installed the AC.

BCS has the most improved noise in my opinion, but u have to be in Sports mode. Comfort mode seems to be close to stock.

My own car is stock, so all of them made a difference lol

More or less imo. But the Militek sounded best. My mate has an M135i so he now knows what not to choose; I think he'll keep it stock lol.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

+1, I liked the Miltek the best. But everyone will be different.

For the owner of the car, what matters is the sound inside the car (because that is where the owner will be when the engine is running), and it is enhanced by a computer. I guess it would be a better strategy to chip tune that synthesizer than changing the outer tubing.

Assuming the M235i and M135i exhaust systems are the same, these aftermarket exhausts can be considered to people who bought the M235i.

Decibal 10th is the app used on the iPhone.

The exhaust does make some performance improvements

I am running milltek with sportcat and disabled the sound generator. Car sounds just perfect now from the inside as well.
