Great read.
Motor mags in South Africa must cater to a more sophisticated reader. My M140i hits Australia 28th of this month. 10 days in customs, few more days stuffing around and I get my grubby mits on it! Can't wait. |

Great purchase, the last of its breed and definitely a future collector!

Great read! I saw my M140 Yesterday at the dealer, can't wait to pick up it next week. I agree with TG...I know that it's not the fastest, and it's not the powerful on the market. But it's the only one, the only true real compact sport car, the only one that can offer you a true sport engine, a six pot.
I think that both the M135 and the M140 will be, in the future, a must for a real petrolhead driver, the car that you have to own once in a lifetime, due to this imperversing downsizing and electrification change. This is for me like breaking the rules, as everyone take care of EV vehicles....I take care of the real enjoy of a real driving experience. My expectations of what I bought are so high that I'm a little bit afraid of what I'm gonna try...but i'm sure that there isn't more of this in the market, and sadly, there will not be anything similar to compare in the future...as we all know what BMW is preparing for us with the next 1 series.....so this is the last of an entire era. |

I had the option of an amg a45 and rs3 but couldn't go by the purity of rwd. The other cars are faster in a straight line and corners but achieve it in a very clinical manner losing the driving experience along the way. They are excellent cars but for different type of drivers
