iDrive controller upgrade

Hey all,

I've got the standard iDrive, none-nav. I'd like to know if i could pop the navigation controller (which is much nicer IMHO) in and all the basic functions work of my existing system work?

I'm sure as size goes it'd slot straight in.

Wiring might be slightly different but I'm sure with a bit of work you could get it working perfectly :-)

Check real OEM to see if surrounding parts are common. the centre console will be but the plug might not be. I suppose the other thing you could do is remove the one in your car and see if the plug has any blank connectors/pins. or just buy one and try it
