Finally Arrived ... 120d M-Sport Valencia Orange

Today is a good day; as this morning my 120d M-Sport in Valencia Orange was delivered!!

Having sold my 2.0 TDI Golf a few months back, i have been driving around in a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 and this day could not come soon enough, haha.

The 1er came on the back of a truck and was delivered to my office early this morning, so as i speak it is sat outside waiting patiently for me to drive her tonight I did have the pleasure of reversing it into the carpark tho!

First RWD and first BMW owner so i guess im in for a real treat!

I will try to get some pictures for those interested, especially before i ruin its looks with the winter wheels i must admit the combination of colour and the m-sport styling really complement each other nicely.

I'm excited for you! I dream of the day when this car is available to the United States.

Have done just over 100 miles in her so far and they have been 100 very enjoyable miles, a mixture of country roads and motorway

Im trying to be good and run her in as per the manual, so for now im keeping it in EcoPro and taking it easy; according to the system i have saved almost 20 miles being in EcoPro and it doesnt feel sluggish in the slightest. I did slip her into sport for a short moment, a light squeeze on the throttle and boy it shifts!!

I am missing some of the comforts that the golf had (automatic wipers, lights etc...) as this F20 is only a stock m-sport; however the cabin looks and feels wonderful and the seats are one of the comfiest car seats ive ever sat in! I am however going to see whether some of the options im missing can be retrofitted and at what cost this weekend: since this is a company car i wasnt allowed to add any at manufacture

Nice Benn. I like valencia orange. I had it on my 1M. I thought it was special, but now every 1 series can get it

It looks good on your M-sport 1-series. BMW should not allow it on non-M(sport) models.

Thanks Carto4. The gearbox feels real nice now, it's loosened up after the first 1k miles, has a reasonably sharp short throw and goes in with ease every time; has a satisfying feel to it when it's in!!

The engine is sorting else, compared to something like an A3 170 Quattro diesel it's in a different league. I think I've mentioned elsewhere that I back to back test drove a 120d F20 and a coupe (old vs new gen engine) and the cars are night and day. The F20 Feels more responsive, lighter and agile; so yeah really pleased with this one!!

Yeah, I first fell in love with the Valencia orange when we had a 1m in at work for reference, a pre production model from Germany: that's when I knew it had to be that colour

Glad to hear this! I heard before that the gearbox improves doing km! And I also heard that his engine was far above the VAG group one!

Thanks man! Enjoy it
