To put it in perspective:

Sport Auto stock M135i time on Hockenheim Short: 1.15.7 (with PSS tires)

1M Sport Auto time: 1.14.1 (PS2)

E92 M3 Competition Pack with DCT: 1.14.0 (Michelin Cup -?- )

E92 M3 manual: 1.14.3 (PS2)

This tuned M135i with 390 ps: 1.13.5 (Michelin Cup tires)

I would like to see how close a stock 1M would get to that 1.13.5 with this tuned car's tires or even with PSS since it is only 0.6 seconds shy already.

In fact, this shows how good a stock 1M performs, not the opposite.

*me want*, such a shame the cheapest M135 with M/T costs £75000 here in Norway.. :/

This shows what a rip-off the 1M was. And this shows that M2 can't get an I6 engine, otherwise it will simply be ALOT faster than M3/M4.
Low weight an right power always wins.
Bad the 1 Series looks so ugly. Hope 2 Series will look good.

Well, at that time 1M was the cheapest ever M car and was much more cheaper compared to a M3 and everyone started talking such a rip off M3 was

1M is a parts bin car and some of those parts did not come cheap obviously, that was not a real rip off BMW intended imo. And it was positioned correctly vs its own competition (Porsche Cayman S and R, Lotus Evora S, Audi TT RS and RS3).

On the other hand, M135i is definitely a better deal in terms of price/performance but you have to understand that it is a new product from a new line of models plus utilizing essentially nothing from more expensive M models so the costs of production are (fortunately for the clients) lower. It is also a hatch so they had to position it as good as possible to be able to sell enough since there are lots of alternative hot hatches and compact sports cars in the global market and even more are going to be introduced soon.

When Alfa introduces its 4C this year or next we will probably be talking that all German sports cars are a rip off

Nah, it's NOK 747,900 which is more than £83,000.

All those mods and just a half a second faster than the M3?? Shows how good the stock M3 really is. Would have thought that those mods would have shaved more time off the lap time.
