Am i going mad ? - BMW 1-Series Forum (F20) 135i

Iv'e just got my car back from dealer due to having an new a/c blower fitted and i notice there is a BMW sign on the bottom of speedo screen that i cant remember being there before.It is on when i open door to get in then goes out when i start the engine.
Is it just me going mad or could it be a software update ?

If its nice i will sabotage my AC to get the update.

The small BMW 1 series image is there when I get in (goes out when I start the engine), I assumed it was part of the Black full display option.
Thinking back.
I do not think it appeared until the 1000km mark as it is followed by service due in****
The Big 'BMW' on the main display also goes away when you start up

Mine has done this from new but it's a Nov 12 build that I only collected two weeks ago.

mine went in for the service meter issue (underreporting distance left to service) and they confirmed it was an update - my feb12 build now has this too - also has improvements with auto start stop i found. BMW technician said every service they update to latest firmware.
