A/C Turns on each time I start the car - BMW 1-Series Forum (F20) 135i

Hi!

Each time I'm starting the car the A/C will turn on automatically, even if I turned it off during the last ride.

Is there a way to disable the auto A/C start?

In previous models it was an option that could be coded by the dealer. Dont no about the F20...

Go into the settings and program the air con to off.

Is the climate control set to AUTO mode?

The A/C is switched by default, on in the AUTO mode!

I agree you should be able to set it to not come on it.

My 116i turns the fan on to speed 1 whenever you start the car. I queried it with the dealer who said it was meant to do it, but I did notice that the A/C light isn't on, so it's just the fan.

Our 116i also starts the fan at low speed. When the engine gets up to temperature, the fan kicks in to reach the set temperature.

Mines constantly in auto mode, yet when i start the car the A/C doesnt automatically kick in. I know it does in some other car brands, so not sure whats going on with yours.

Tried to turn off auto mode - didn't work.
