British Touring Car Championship to see 1 Series in 2013

Looks like the current 1 series will be racing in the BTCC next year, taking the place of the older 3 series with West Surrey Racing.

That is exciting news. I still haven't seen a single F20/F21 race car.

BTCC NGTC regs are very specific and although they don't say diesel isn't allowed because certain components are specified including the ECU it
pretty much means 2.0 petrol turbo 4 pot is the only option.

Outputs are strictly controlled to keep down costs.

http://www.btccpages.com/btcc/regs_ngtc.php

As both F1 and World Rally Championship cars will all be 1.6 Turbo Petrols from 2014 the 2.0 Turbo BTCC cars look large engined.

Cheers
