New Member - F20 120d M Sport

Hi Guys,

Thought i should introduce myself. Im from Northeast England and im currently waiting for delivery on my new F20. The spec is as follows:

BMW 1 Series 5 Door F20 Sporthatch, 120d M Sport, Valencia Orange.

Cannot wait for the car to arrive; I previously owned a 2009 registered VW Golf MK6 GT 2.0 TDI and loved every moment in that car. However, after driving the F20, i instantly fell in love with the RWD and the power/economy that the 120d engine provides. I was due delivery at the end of August, but this has been pushed back a further 10-12 weeks now until mid November: i believe quite a few orders have been held up. I was told that BMW are waiting on some replacement parts or something like that, anyone know the official word on what the hold up is?

No extras on this beauty tho unfortuantely, as this is a company car; except the metallic paint as thats a no-brainer. Does anyone know whether Cruise Control can be dealer retro-fitted to the F20 once it arrives? This is the only option i can see that i will sorely miss, i heard you could retro-fit it on the older 1 series, and since the buttons are already on the steering wheel i hope so!

Anyway, nice to meet you all !!

Once you have the M Sport version you'll not really need other options, you will just want to drive and drive

If you have just placed your order, I would suggest you order and pay the option price for the Cruise yourself.
It will cost you 2 to 3 times that price as a retro fit (if it can be fitted)

Talk to your boss he may let you have it as a bonus or incentive
