F20 spoiler

Hi all
Has anyone got the BMW Performance rear wing spoiler fitted on their F20. I have looked at it on the BMW site, however it looks like it only just covers the hatch's existing wing. If any one has got one fitted one I would like to know their opinion of it.
If anyone knows of an aftermarket better looking version let me know where to look for it. I have seen the AC Schnizer one but do not want to fit it to a M sport

Yes, the performance spoiler (and the finns) are just fitted ontop of whats already there, E87-like. And I even can provide some pictures of cars with PP-parts, especially the spoiler.

I got pics of 3 cars for you.

#1: Car white, full PP, spoiler and finns painted in white too.

#2: Car white, only spoiler and finns, both painted glossy black.

#3: Car red, only spoiler, painted glossy black

Oh and as I think one can see in all pics of car #2 and #3, imo a part of the original spoiler below the PP one should be painted/wrapped in glossy black too, I added a shop of car #2 where I did that.

Fab pics. Is the edge more curved up in real life than it appears in the pics?
This gives me food for thought

My doubt is that I have ordered Estoril Blue
I think it is not prominent enough to show up if painted in the same colour as the car and if I leave it black it will look tacked on.
I might have to wait and see what else comes out in after market products

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the rear wing on the previous model is the similar in width and curve ratio as the F20s? I have looked at mine and the F20 at the dealer and they look very similar in width. Knowing BMW I bet it is slightly different and you cannot adapt an existing AF spoiler to fit.
If it is very close, this opens would open up a whole range of suitable spoilers to choose from

I drive a white F20 sport, I think adding the black wing cover looks really cool.
I like the wing cover in the pictures.
Is that original BMW parts or after market oem?

All parts I posted pics of are original BMW parts. On my last picture I added a little photoshop-touch, as I suggest to wrap or paint the part around the 3rd brake light black too, to make it fit better.

Well the prices are from bmw.de out of the downloaded pricelist for retrofit-options. They can be ordered via every dealer in germany, so I assume your local dealer should be able to help you too. BMW.de actually has a webshop for this stuff, but eventually it will just send your "order" to a dealer near you, which will process it.

Thanks for the advice, only problem is that if it goes back to the local dealers here they rip you off on prices in Australia
EG; Rear Spoiler is A$855.00 (unpainted) which is around 690.00 Euro
I might have to order and buy the items from a dealer in RSA or Dubai on my next trip.

Hi all,
Sorry to harp on about this, but has anyone looked into this to see if the rear wing on the previous model is the similar in width and curve ratio as the F20s?

I have looked at my 1er (2008) and the F20 at the dealer and they look very similar in width just maybe deeper to accommodate the eye level stop.

Knowing BMW I bet it is different enough that you cannot adapt an existing after market spoiler to fit. There are very nice ones available

If it is very close, this would open up a whole range of suitable spoilers to choose from
