So, do you think the 116i is not a good option? I´m thinking about it and the 118i, sometimes I think the first one is enough for me. But reading messages like yours, I´m in doubt. The 116i, reaches 100Km/h in 8,5 secs...What I think is a really good mark, if you are not Fernando Alonso. Tell me your impressions please. Thank you!!

Talking F21 On its way...

This car is amazing (following a test drive!), great price, fantastic performance, super slick auto gear box and an exhaust note that cannot be described and that no internet sound clip does justice...in sport mode the way is 'dumps' the exhaust at point of gear change qualifies it as the 'ultimate driving machine' in itself for me.

Sadly, I couldn't justify the expected fuel cost as I cover 30,000 miles a year.

I currently drive the e90 320d M Sport Edition and after 92000 faithful miles, i'm looking forward to picking up my brand new F21 120d M Sport on 7th Feb.

As seems tradition on this forum, I have spec'd the following:

Black Sapphire
Anthracite Hexagon Cloth/Alcantara interior
Adaptive Xenon Headlights (Auto-Headlights)
High Beam Assist
Rain sensitive wipers
Front & Rear parking sensors
Extended lighting Package
Servotronic Steering

Feel free to comment; i'm told these headlights are amazing so any views on that would be appreciated...

Hi there I have a 116i sport it's perfect for me!! I do many motorway trips and its easily does 110 in the fast lane but will also beat many cars off the lights. Also being an old man at times it's a perfect town and country road car power is perfect for me I love it. But go with what you thinks best.

Yes. Yes they are. Takes a while getting used to the way the beam flicks around on twisty roads at night because the tilt action on them is a bit distracting at first.

I do miss having front fog lights though. Feels like a poor compromise for cooling. Having said that I think it has opened up a chance for an aftermarket styling firm to remodel the front and include a pair of sealed lamps as a bonus. If engine bay temp was really that much of an issue they should have vented the bonnet or scooped it somehow. Side vents would have added to the shark-like profile for example.

As it is the front end looks a bit fugly, almost warthog-ish.

The angel eyes look with the angry frown eyebrows is actually quite novel although it could become a bit of a dated look. I suppose with the furious hornets nest noise coming from the engine/turbo the angry look is appropriate.

Recently bought my M135i in full black spec. Got it for a song: £32k with almost every toy apart from the HK sound upgrade. Supposedly 'ex-demo' with 1,500 miles on it, still running it in. I expect to hammer it for about 25,000 miles in a year.

Enough left in the pot to fund the Hartge tune
