I took this picture so you can see also the dimensions of the extended black panel display. Don't be confused by its blueish color, its the camera exposure setting.

whats with the awesome blue glow (on the cup holders)- is that standard?

That's the color switch that comes with Urban and Sport Line.

Urban can choose between blue and white. Sport can choose between orange/red and white.

You can change it on the iDrive screen.

The black panel looks absolutely awesome by day - at first you don't even notice that the dial is actually a display - it fits in perfectly with the other dials.

At night, the glow from the dark areas of the display spoil the effect somewhat.
