Active Differential Brake - BMW 1-Series Forum (F20) 135i

I have just noticed in the specification list [F20] that there is an "Active Differential Brake[ ADB Sport ] ,electronic Diff lock in DSC off mode
Am I right in thinking that this will help traction in snow or ice greatly ,as this is usually when you have to turn DSC off ?

Testing the sport + setting which brings in the ADB it certainly made itself felt through a 90 degree bend on the A15 yesterday by grabing the inside rear wheel and swinging the car around the bend in fact I think the URBAN version is missing this feature?

No all F20's have it but it's only active with DSC off

great news, I've been curious about the rear diff. The dealer didnt know any details about it but it sounds like it could be a decent rear diff then after all.
