F20 1 Series Scores Full 5 Stars in Euro NCAP Crash Test

The latest Euro NCAP results are in and the 2011 F20 1-series has received the full 5-star rating.

The new 1 series even scored well enough to achieve the maximum safety rating under a stricter NCAP criteria being introduced next year. For the 2012 tests, cars will be required to score at least 60% (up from current 40%) in the pedestrian protection category to be awarded a full 5 stars.

We've posted the full results below. Needless to say, the new 1 series continues BMWs recent history of producing some of the safest cars available.
