A3 looks great, nice LED headlights on it

edit: on second thought the A3 looks like a stationwagon. Did it grow from previous gen?

The front I give to the VW. The rest I'm thinking the BMW. Its growing on me, but I think that they really mangled the front. The headlights on the BMW are just so awkward but the could've worked if they made the grille follow the contour of the headlights (angled downwards towards the outside). Just my 0.02.

I do think that the 2er (?) will be styled differently though, like the E90/E92 are. So for those of us across the pond there might be some hope still.

Please note that the overall shape of the Audi A3 dates back from 2003. VW isn't a brand new model either, while the 1 Series has yet to be released. As for the looks, I agree that the BMW is a flop.

the interiour of the bmw is really great but what a mess on the outside!!!i guess bmw likes to keep one model on the ugly side...i mean the old x3 and now thiss!i'm afraid that the coupe will have the same front of that thing..just like the old generation...

lol the irony. The Audi has the nicer exterior, but the BMW has the nicer interior. WTF were they thinking on this 1er tho, it looks so cheap and cheesy...

i sent a msg to a salesman of bmw here who is a friend and told him to call me when the first sale on that car is made.. i'm really curious to who is going to buy it.. really.. the frond end is a mess..

It looks even worse when you put it next to the nice looking Golf and the Sharp A 3.

It's like a girl that you think is really cute or smart when she's alone; then you see her in the presence of much prettier or smarter women (make you go ahhhh

Wow. One of the ugliest BMW designs I can remember. The head lights are way too far down on the front end, and their shape is just... blah. The angle of the holes on the bottom, compared to the A3's holes, are just awkward and comical looking.

Astoundingly ugly.
