We bring you the very first look at the upcoming F20 1-series M-sport front end on a 135i hatchback.

The rest of the F20 M-sport package has not yet been affixed on this car, but expect the usual set of M-sport wheels, rear bumper, sideskirts, and of course interior M-sport bits.

Besides the current testing of the F20 M-sport front bumper, here is what these photos reveal:
  • F20 M-sport bumper with air curtain technology and deeply inset air inlets, which debuted on the facelifted current 1-series and the 1M coupe
  • No fog lights with M-sport kit
  • Production exhaust pipes
  • Fixed navigation screen (like the new F12 6-series)
  • Curved center console design
  • Manual emergency brake
  • Black panel style climate/radio controls (black panel trim still missing)
  • Fixed piston brakes

We expect the F20 1-series to debut sometime in the next 1-2 weeks, so stay tuned!

Hmm... 135i hatchback? I will be surprised if we see such a thing materialize. Wouldn't we have seen an X1 35i first?

Dual exhaust? One thing I wish my coupe had. Still need to see more before getting excited.

It's not a 135i, but a 128i with the 2.0 TwinScroll turbo.

The Nav screen on this mule, the new 6er (and according to SCOTT26, on the new 3er) just doesn't sit right with me. I guess it makes for the illusion of a lower dash line, but it looks almost arbitrarily added, unlike the "two hump" look of the E9x models.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I'd be all over this if they brought the hatch to the US.

What's the big deal? You don't have to buy it, but other people would like to.
