I want a Benelli M4. I had an M1 18" years ago and sold it to a friend since I have access to M1 14" through work. It was stamped HK and I kick myself for letting it go now. The guy who sold it to me kicks himself, too.

If we were allowed to carry single action, I'd have a few 1911's. A few of our guys carry the Para Ord with the LDA. I like the TAC-S, but it needs a light rail. Till then, Glock and HK.

Glock 19 - Sw 39 - Mri De .50ae

Handguns make a great after market accessory.
Great thread.

I have a Desert Eagle and it is a great shooting hand cannon.
Not a practical carry gun as it weighs as much as a brick and is concealable as a back-hoe. Takes a bit of maintenance to keep it in top condition but it's a mad man! When I touch it off at the range, all other shooting tends to stop.
99% of the people I meet at the range do not find it offensive - they *like* it.

I found that the center console storage under the arm rest in the 3 series (e90) is actually gun shaped! - perhaps that's what it was meant for all along. A 1911 or in my case a sw model 39 9mm (same foortprint as the 1911 but smaller - and double action) fits perfectly there. a 3-6 inch barrel revolver should fit there too. I use a thin swede leather custom holster ( more like a custom fit wrapper ) to protect it from scratches, etc.

Of course check the laws and be properly permitted. (disclaimer)

Here's my new baby: Glock 21 SF with Surefire x300. Got it yesterday and put 500rds through it today. Ran quals with it out of the box. Pulled four rounds from the 25 a bit low and left - scored a 92. Second time I ran it I shot 100. Rapid fire from the 7 was in the head and from the 5 double taps were in the triangle. I'm loving this weapon already. Totalled about 500rds through it today - three other guys ran a mag each as they are about to buy. Head to head with another 21 SF without the light there is a noted difference in recoil. More of a push than a snap, if you know what I mean. Followup shots were much faster than with my USP.

USP is now officially retired. I've replaced three firing pin springs and an extractor in 8yrs. Numerous mag issues, as well. We shoot the heck out of them, so they are bound to break. Hell, we had three Mp5's go down today on the range. None of my Glocks have ever failed to fire. They get about 50% of the range use the HK gets, so take it as you will.
