New Spy Shots of the 2017 1 Series Sedan in China

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just came across this finding of the new 2017 1 Series Sedan spotted in China. Interior Shots are showing M-Sport Steering Wheel on it so this must be an M-Sport Model here. The transmission shifter lever looks different as well. Enjoy!

Previous (better) shots and videos of 1 Series Sedan - http://www.bimmerpost.com/1-series/spyshots/.

Latest BIMMEROST info on the 1 Series Sedan:

Quote:
The F52 1 Series Sedan is built upon the FWD platform which will also underpin the the next generation 1 Series hatchback and 2 Series Coupe/Convertible to follow after this sedan. It will also be offered with AWD xDrive.

BMW has previously gone on the record as saying that it "sees little need for a sedan smaller than the 3-Series," but it seems that the company has either reversed course, or were masking their plans from competitors until now.

Engine offerings will top out at 4 cylinders. The U.S. will get 120i and 125i (the latter with available xDrive) - source (ynguldyn).

I guess this car will be more related to the 2 series active tourer than the current one series?

The BMW 1 Series is the great driving hatchback, that's all I want to remember...

This one reminds me automatically how bad MB CLA drives

Well a Mini is simply a small BMW with a Mini badge, so go figure.

If the U.S. gets this abomination and misses out on the hatchback 1 series then I give up.

The 3 series in my opinion is a perfect size sedan. I feel like the BMW line is great as it is. A smaller sedan isn't really needed but the price point may be what customers want to get into a BMW.

I think the world is disagreeing with you on the "a smaller sedan isn't really needed" point you make...

The three sedan is a barge there's definitely a needed of a 2er sedan or a 2er grand coupe. The 1er sedan I'd pass on but the three series is a freaking tank.
