Very nice car and even nicer city. I spent 2 months there and I came back home in love with Edinburgh. Congratulations for both the car and the city

LOL!!
thanks Fanis! It's one of the things I really liked about the car - the M Sport has a very short throw.. probably even shorter than my Z3 (which was often done as a retrofit on E36 cars as it was so short) Quote:

Lovely mate :-) one thing I noticed is the the engine bay on the diesels is a lot "neater" than the 4 pot petrols! This is my engine bay:

thought I'd bore you all with some more pics of the new car - seeing as I had a little time to take some shots with my DSLR and had a quick play in Adobe Lightroom and PS - comments welcome!

The first shot is very nice although I feel it is slightly off center, which bugs me a bit. I really like the seemingly grey colour portrayed in 3, 4 and 5 (especially 4). I think if it was an option it would be my colour of choice. |

the manual gearbox is very good.. being the m-sport it has a very short through.. i'd say probably even shorter than my old Z3 (which was a popular upgrade for E36's!).. its pretty precise and the gear ratios are well suited to the engine. |

the first picture is taken at a very slight angle (bias towards drivers side) it was also slightly squint - so when i levelled it off (cropped) in Lightroom it was quite hard to get it proportioned correctly.. if I had more time then i would have set it up for some proper shots - these were just quick snaps and edits as i didn;t think the original phone shots were doing it justice.. i hadn't even detailed it before the pics!!! LOL! I will get round to doing a proper detail and photoshoot at some point! |

nice! that is what I was expecting! Love short through gearboxes! Was a bit interested in the auto-box but since the 120d xDrive is only avbailable with the manual one, amb happy to hear this Thanks! |

Nice photos, better than some of the official ones!
What does "full black panel" earlier in the posts mean? Last edited by chunkymonkey; 07-23-2013 at 01:45 AM.. Reason: missed question |

it's a colour TFT screen that is used to display various information (depending on spec/options on car) - i.e. telephone info, audio info, service information, interactive gauges for MPG and eco driving, service reminders, navigation instructions if you have nav etc if you don't have this option then you have a smaller centred screen |
