Also, I apparently read too much into the other thread about BMW management skipping the Paris show. I had incorrectly thought that meant that they had decided BMW would not have a presence at the show at all. Glad to see this is not the case, though with no significant new models to debut, it won't be the most exciting show for BMW fans.

I suppose the G30 will get its own private launch event then. Maybe this month?
The G30 will have its world premiere in Detroit. After introduction on the 12th October. Internal reasons point to showing the car at the NAIAS in order to jump start sales for 2017.
However given the limited range on offer for the US.
The Geneva show in March coinciding with European market introduction will showcase the full range including the Premiere of the M550i and M550d which the M550d will not be sold in North America.

The car will not be shown publicly in Paris but there will be a closed room by invitation only.

There are many manufacturers who are not attending Paris this year Ford is one. As they say they have nothing to show. But recent events might be the real reason for non attendance.

Introduction as in official pictures and press release? Good news if so, that's just one month from today.

In absence of Rolls-Royce at Paris. BMW M will have its first dedicated stand at an international Autoshow.

That's a nice addition.

However, I gather we won't be seeing any M2 CS or M4 CS goodness yet, which is a bummer. For that matter no LCI bits for the 2 Series, M2, 4 Series, M4 yet either.

F90, F97, F98 also on the near horizon for M. Hopefully something, be it concept or production, is coming soon to the show circuit.
