Revised auto 0-100 figures

I have noticed that sometime during 2012, BMW revised acceleration data for some of its models equipped with an automatic transmission. For example,

116i: 9.1 to 8.7 sec
118i: 7.5 to 7.2 sec
125i: 6.5 to 6.2 sec
118d: 8.9 to 8.6 sec

What is the reason for the changes? Has the transmission been updated? Or the ECU/transmission software? Or maybe nothing has changed, and these new figures are simply more accurate estimates?

The quicker figures were already quoted in some markets. I believe it's due to wheel and tyre sizes and now the figures have been standardised.

Is that with automatic and two shifts?
Our 116i with manual gearbox does it in 8.4 with only one shift.

It's two shifts, 8 ratio's gives a very low 1st gear.

Shift times are 200 milliseconds.

I am guessing my single shift was around 400 ms.

That's actually pretty impressive! Almost as quick as a stock 125i!
Is your 118i manual or auto?
