I'd love to see a video of these people doing Tai Chi.
I think that would be extremely cool.

I wish BMW would partner with Tesla (who already produces an incredible technical marvel with Aluminum space frame) and provide a proper BMW luxury interior and refined fit/finish to what is already an amazing vehicle. I would even like a hybrid like an i8 power train but with a stronger electric motor.

The tech of a Tesla with the refinement of a BMW would be a winning combo to me.

That's because the X1 is a wagon packaged as an SUV to sell to silly Americans who don't like the word wagon. . . Of course its the best looking wagons look better.

There will be no i3M. No i5M.

However the BMW i3S is coming!

You will still have a choice. Face it, there are a shit ton of people in this world that have no business driving any car. I will feel safer knowing the asshole texting near me, has a car that is driving itself.

To understand.

Each BMW generation either in current or next cycle will be offered with eDrive PHEV iPerformance and an additional M. Performance model.

The BMWi line will be expanded. With BMWi NEXT and upgraded i3 and i8 models including the new i8 Roadster.

The BMW M line will include for the first time the X3M and X4M.
Looks like the new M Aeropacket for the X3M and X4M G01 and G02. Uses the large central intake similar to the X5M & X6M now squared off with a sharper triangle-type shape and brake intakes inspired by the M2's "fangs"
But looks as if they coming out of the metal instead of added on.
The body is broader thanks to a wider track and will run up to 19" wheels.
As soon as you see a prototype with the style 666 wheels found on the GTS/Competition Packet of the M4, its the X3M in development mode.

The BMW M line will also include an additional sub-line.
Power eDrive is coming.

A new flagship sedan will arrive above the 7er. As will the ultimate luxury SAV the BMW X7 will be offered in standard and Li. Top line models will feature V12.

Carbon Core Technology to be spread across multiple model lines as an industry first.

New Rolls-Royce aluminium architecture with Carbon Technology will herald an all new generation of Rolls-Royce models starting with the all new Phantom.

MINI will preview a Countryman Coupe a 5dr replacement for the PACEMAN and a sister vehicle for the BMW X2 model.
All new smaller MINI being developed to include availability of electric drive which will also feature as PHEV models on the MINI countryman and Clubman.
New MINI JCW GP edition expected in 2018 will utilise lightweight technology for the first time in a MINI.

I know this is the xx1st century but it sucks (and will more in the future) to be a petrolhead.

Great speech from the ceo. At least this time he delivered it whilst standing up. That lady was NOT att all there to say "hey we allow women here too" lol.

Basically BMW is the new-age Honda,

Out with the sportcar and in with the everyday point A to point B vehicle (w/ 'Tech')

The expansion of the M brand is already well under way, and has been for a while. Just slap a few more M badges on cars which all have basically the same engine! ///Meaningless.

An i8 with a v8 or v10 option would be huge!! Need that engine sound.. Would easily sell over r8 and other cars in that range!

That's why there has been a push toward GTS and CSL models, IMO.

So what's the plan for 10 years from now when the 'CSL' badging has been whored out like ///M is now? I can see it now:

M everything. No prestige to be found here or at Mercedes with Amg. Badges all around. A damn shame when someone tells you "I only drive BMW now because it has a lighter steering feel". I guess car feel doesn't matter if you're going autonomous
