Upgrade Fog Light Bulbs?

Has anyone found aftermarket HID Xenon upgrade bulbs for the f20?

I'd like to change the Std H8 dull yellow'ish bulbs for super white... without OBC errors

PS, I know the yellow tint is better in fog but I'd prefer white to match the head lights and LED's

I was actually wondering the same. A lot of cars seem to have white fog lights nowadays (including the new 6 gran coupé) and the F20 still has those old light bulbs Especially when you have xenon headlights, it would look much nicer with white fog lights.

On my Smart I replaced the ordinary (parking light) bulbs with LED. After that the radio reception was ruined and the radio almost unusable.
Something to think about before you change......

Why nobody has done it yet? Well maybe because in 9 out of 10 cases it looks stupid (because more blue than anything else), and/or because its probably forbidden in most countries to drive around with foglights on without actual fog around, or completely illegal chinese crap-bulbs. Just an idea..

I wouldn't drive around with fog lights on for no reason, plus my fogs come on independently when i'm turning corners in any weather, I've caught a glimpse of this in shop windows and the yellow tinge looks dull and crap compared to the bright white xenons and led markers.... So that's my reason!

Ok granted.. I completely forgot about this turning-light-abuse of the fogs, which all newer cars have now. Reason accepted and makes me want this question answered with in germany legal bulbs

As said, driving with fog lights on IS contravening the UK highway code unless conditions dictate that...
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/travelan...code/dg_069859
Code:
Driving in adverse weather conditions (226-237)

This Highway Code applies to England, Scotland and Wales. The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone.
226
You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236).
and under the RVLRs:
Code:
There are three ways of committing the front fog lamp offence under Reg 27
of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989:

(a) used so as to cause undue dazzle or discomfort to other persons using the
 road;
(b) used so as to be lit at any time other than in conditions of seriously
 reduced visibility;
© used so as to be lit when a vehicle is parked.
you might, if a police officer gets seriously wound up, get a fine of up to £200

SORRY Op, a bit off-topic there ;-) oops

I think some are missing my point.... I'd like white fogs to match white head lights.... Purely aesthetics.... Most other manufactures do this nowadays !

I'd hope all members of this forum are respectful of the highway code and other road users and don't drive around with fog lights on when not needed...

Yes.... Part of the visibility package, when you turn sharp the one of the fog lights turn on to assist with illuminating the direction you are turning

I guess they don't ship internationally? This summer I'm driving from Bath to York, so if I can pick up my order in Bromsgrove I might buy the bulbs there. I actually need to drive past Bromsgrove to get to York

I'll let you know if they work and look ok! I guess they would send them to you if you pay the extra postage?

Alright cheers! I couldn't find any delivery policies but I tried to order it now and they only deliver to 12 countries, but not Belgium
So best I can do is to get in touch with them and ask if it's possible to pick it up I guess.

Seriously. What kind of shipping-selection is that?!

Lets have a look, where this UK-shop shipps to:
- Europe: UK, Spain, France, Ireland, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Austria
- Rest: USA, Australia, Canada and freakin Singapore
But obvious things like CENTRAL EUROPE... hm.. nope..

Don't defeat the purpose of fog lights. When there is foggy, u will just become invisible if all your lights are in white! That's why fog lights bulb are always yellowish
