It looks great! I guess it won't be a hard to choose this car when I see it in person!

BMW should really consider developing a F20 M hatchback, with pumped up looks and specifications; as light as possible and with an inline four turbo engine with similar power to our actual 1M. I mean together with an M2 coupe, a coupe would still be good.

I am still not a big fan of the F20 looks but I admit that these photos are way much better than the official ones and Msport package helps. My favorite details are the new M footrest and handbrake lever plus door (cloth?) trim. At the outside, those painted calipers look a bit cheesy to me.

Enjoy the car, congratulations.

How do you like the sport automatic transmission, especially in manual mode.

Thanks,

GREAT looking car! I still wish they would bring the 5 door to the US, especially the 123d. Is the sport auto the new 8 spd or is it still a 6 spd?

There are serveral reasons:
  • the bucking of the diesel engines is annoying me. Sure when you're drivin, the modern diesels are very quiet, but when the car stands still...
  • i don't like the motor characteristic and this short speed range where the diesel has got its full torque.
  • with my mileage per year the diesel isn't that much cheaper that it would be interessting for me

Thanks Mammut, right now I’m also wondering if it’s worth getting a diesel version. I would need to put 2k more plus the prices for the diesel on the gas stations are getting nuts over here.
Anyway, are you thinking about some chip tuning or other upgrades? Also, will we be able to see some video sometime soon?

Looking good! Would love a test drive one of these days as I'm on the fence for one of these as well.
