18000 mile warning since service
Hi guys,
Had my car serviced on the weekend, and on ignition I'm now getting a message on my cluster telling me that I've got 18,000 to go until due. Seems a very premature warning This must be a mistake on the garage's part, maybe they didn't reset something? I tried to reset it myself but it tells me "Reset not possible" when I try. Am I going to have to waste some time getting the garage to sort it out or am I doing something wrong? |

BMWs have "condition based" servicing. They all give the maximum estimate when just serviced, but this may change over time based on driving conditions experienced. It's always indicated this distance before, but you've obviously not noticed.

Also, it can refer to when brake pads, fluid, an inspection or an oil service are due - you can look in the iDrive menu (Vehicle Information > Vehicle Status > Service Required) to find out what is due when.
