The car stutters frequently when full trottle is suddenly applied!
Hi All
Recently I have noticed the the car has a tendency to stutter when full trottle is suddenly applied. Typically the car stutters 1-3 times rapidly within 1-2 secs . The phenominon is more frequent when the engine is still warming up, but also occurs sometimes even when the engine is at normal operating temperature. The stuttering seems to be more significant when the car is in sport mode. Since the milage is only 7000 km, this is not something I would expect for at BMW with this low milage..... -Has anyone experienced the same? -Any ideas to what could be causing the stuttering? Probably just some sensor (MAF or manifold pressure seem likely) or maybe problems with fuel pressure. Could be anything really, but I suspect nothing serious (yet). Take it to the dealer.
(Why are you applying full throttle when the engine is still warming up? )

It's not something I like to do, but typically at my way to work in the morning, It's often nessesary to make a fast laneshift etc. in order to move forward. But the engine never gets above 4000 rpm though... |
