Its now literally a matter of days before the new 1-Series is revealed to the world. And the patent image masters at the jokeforblog have gotten their hands on the images of the upcoming 1er, including the crucial images of the front bumper, which looks to be the most dramatically changed styling element.

The 1er looks to now have a more wedge shaped headlamp design element which is a cross between the 5-Series GT and an E92 3-Series, with a design line that passes from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of the kidney grills, just as on the 5-Series GT. A line that will give the car a very mean and aggressive looking face.

Thankfully, the kidney grills look like they will retain the more traditional BMW looks, probably shaped this way due to space constraints between the headlamps.

Moving onto the body panels, the car has much sharper and deeply cut body lines which brings the 1er up to speed with the current design language at BMW. The front fender is especially well styled with elements similar to the F25 X3.

Its hard to say exactly from these photos, but the rear fender looks to be fairly wide on the 3-door variant, hopefully that translates well onto painted sheetmetal, because the look is very nice and no doubt BMW would be able to fit wider rubber on the rear.

Well there you have it, keep your eyes peeled onto the BIMMERPOST homepage for updates. We will be posting up the first images of the new 1-Series as soon as they come out, hopefuly sometime this weekend.

I know what you're thinking.... I can't believe they went with the AUDI STYLE LEDS in the headlights!

You'll notice I "photoshopped it" (actually used Mspaint) to use the new BMW Individual color "Monochrome Gray"

It is looking very evolutionary of the e87/e81 hatch. I like it.

I have seen some prototypes on the autobahns over here... each time I see one (sorry my camera has always been left in my trunk!) I can't help think (to myself) how much bigger this F20 is over the e87 platform. I know the F20 is way bigger than my e82 135i. Not sure IF that is a good thing or not.

I laughed my a$$ off at this! Great work SG

On a more serious note, the panels look very very good, let's hope it comes together with good light designs (BMW are good at this) and nice wheels and colours. Can't wait to see it. I might be looking at an F20 after my E46 330i

LOL! There is so much win in this photoshop I wouldn't know where to start! It's such a refreshingly new take on the 1-series! Gotta love the rims, its pure poetry! Congrats for this excellent job mate :-)

Can you come up with an 1M now please? :-)
