Front tires mismatch with rear tires.
Hi everyone,
My car got hit recently and the left rear tires was cut, no pressure loss so far. It is goodyear efficientgrip 205/50-R17 runflat tire. I have decided to replace it but I could not find any at local stores. However, there is goodyear eagle nct5 205/50-R17 runflat. Is it ok if I use these tires for rear axel only? the front tires still have lots of tread so I want to save some money. Thank you in advance!! |

I think it is allowed, but not exactly recommended. It will affect the balance of the car, but not necessarily for the worse. If you don't like how it performs, you could also consider swapping front/rear. Thumbs up from me.
