Hi playmobilboy

I appreciate your comment but I think the Sportline is still a good looking car and would have been my choice if the M Sport had been too expensive for me. In fact I did consider a Sport last Sept when the car was launched but by the time I had added extras like 18" wheels, auto air-con etc it would have cost more than the M Sport!

Cheers mate and enjoy your motor.

I am so pleased my photos helped you in your decision and yes the car does look fab in white and I agree with you re the lights and bodywork detail. I too was tempted by Estoril Blue when I saw it was available but decided to stick with my original choice as my previous M Sport was in Le Mans blue and I wanted a change (and I am glad I did).

The 18" wheels are standard UK spec and as far as I know there is no choice but never the less the car rides very smoothly and seems better than my previous M Sport which had 17" - probably because of the longer wheelbase.

I know it will seem a long time until you get yours but it will be worth the wait and I am sure you will be extremely pleased once it's on the road. Pics asap please.

Cheers mate
Ah, in the Netherlands the 383 17" M rims are standard and the 18" upgrade is a 400-500 extra. I actually liked the design of 18" more. Ah well, I'm sure I won't have big regrets by the time I start riding this car. The difference in wheelbase compared to my current peugeot will be even larger, so I'm convinced it will be a lot more comfortable.

Buildweek is first week of may, but it's a company car and contract starts in june. Maybe I can take some pics at the dealer first week in may . Haven't seen pics of the 383 rims yet, so quite curious to how those look in the flesh.

Hey, i've ordered the same car, but in estoril blue- and i was wondering why your steering wheel and hand break doesn't have the estoril blue stitching? as on the picture in this thread:

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=673089

Is it an additional option? i thought it was standard in the m sport pack- have BMW missed something during manufacturing? As the car I test drove at my local garage was missing the stitching also.

i've just pinged my bmw sales rep an email asking him to investigate for me

Hi iBeech

I recall reading somewhere a few months ago that the M Sport had blue stitching on the steering wheel but didn't notice when I took delivery of my car that it was not present and subsequently just assumed the spec had changed. I have just had a look on the BMW site and cannot find any mention of such stitching (although red stitching is mentioned for the sport) nor any sign of it on the wheel in the car configurator so I'm interested in what your dealer says.

Cheers

Bummer! Check out this configurator- you can clearly see the blue stitching

hmm- i wonder whats going on then -because i've only seen the complete set of blue stitching in a couple of photos- all of the others are just seats.

- waiting for a reply from my dealer

Here is a quote from my dealer:

Quote:
Hi Tom,
The stitching is only on the seats.
The Steering wheel is a standard M Sport Steering wheel with black stitching as is the gear lever and the hand
brake boot. It is exactly the same as the one you drove. I think the photo (left hand drive ) is not for this market.
So no blue stitching for the UK market! bummer

My F20 M-Sport arrived at the dealers backyard during Easter. I took some pictures yesterday. And look: No blue stitching here in Norway either!
To me it's perfectly ok, since I also changed the blue dashboard trim to high gloss black.

Here is a picture through the window:

Mystery of the blue stitching solved then. Whilst I do like it and think it adds a nice touch to the interior I am happy with just the blue in the seats which compliments the blue trim on the dash.

You sir, have excellent taste in Cars. Love the Alpine white and the interior. Nice to see someone actually has a manual.

Way too many Automatics in this forum!
